Jammin Stephen D (Age: 17, Hazlehurst, Mississippi -U.S., ) Stephens nickname is Show-Off because he shows off in everything he does. And what he really loves to do is play the drums. The drums, although not the only instrument he plays, is his favorite. He also plays the piano and the saxophone on occasion. At a young age, Stephen fell in love with the drums. He grew up watching his uncle, Steve Collins, play the drums for the Dixon's singers. Stephen also loved to see his cousin Vonzell Noel play also. At the age of 5-years-old, Stephen received a 5-piece drum-set for Christmas and began to learn the basics of playing the drums. By the age of 8-years-old, Stephen was playing the drums for his dad's churches, Greater Mt. Olive and Egypt Hill M.B. church. This is where Stephen really took his drumming to another level. Stephen also began to play the piano during these years and later became the pianist for his dad's church Egypt Hill. Stephen had put the drums on hold for a while, but never gave up them, as it was always what he loved the most. Stephen's cousin, Cortland Collins, whom appeared at the Apollo and many other venues, inspired Stephen to want to play the drums again. Now he is back playing again. He now plays a 9-piece drum-set and he is currently enrolled with a talent agency where he showcases his talent. Stephen said he hopes to one day become a professional drummer and be a member of drum workshop. His motto is "good and great things come to those who endure to the end."
