Tennis has always been a part of her life. She had a racquet in her hand by the age of 3. Although not taking it seriously at first, by the age of 10 Katherine was playing all-year round. At age 11 she won her first local rookie-net tournament. When she was 12, Katherine played in her first USTA tournament. She struggled at first, but definitely caught up in the tournament circuit. Since then she has won nearly 15 trophies and awards, and looks forward to continuing her schedule up to the midwest, or sectional, level.
